Introduction

Eagle Sky Academy (“the Academy”, “we”) is an Egyptian international, fully-online academy based in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt. We provide a learning platform and mobile apps for students, parents and teachers.

This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website, platform and apps, how we use, share and protect it, and your rights. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.

Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to deliver and manage the educational service:

• Account data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, and password (encrypted).
• Student data: date of birth, grade and educational track, academic records (grades, attendance, homework) and reports.
• Parent data: name, contact details and relationship to the student.
• Payment data: processed by third-party gateways (Paymob / PayTabs); we do not store card numbers on our servers, only invoice and transaction records.
• Communications: in-platform chat and WhatsApp support/notification messages.
• Media: profile photos and live-class recordings (subject to the consent rules below).
• Technical data: device type, operating system, IP address and usage data, for security and service improvement.

How we use your data

• Create accounts and manage enrollment and subscriptions.
• Deliver live classes and educational content and track grades, attendance and homework.
• Communicate schedules, notifications and support via the app and WhatsApp.
• Process payments and issue invoices.
• Protect the platform and detect abuse and fraud.
• Improve our services and comply with legal obligations.

Children’s data and parental consent

Most of our students are minors. Student accounts are created and managed with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for consenting to the processing of the student’s data.

We require explicit parental consent before using a student’s photos or recordings in which they appear, for any purpose. Parents may access, correct or request deletion of student data at any time.

We do not direct advertising to children and never sell their data.

Sharing of data

We do not sell your data. We may share it, only as necessary, with:

• Relevant teachers and staff within the Academy, on a need-to-know basis.
• Payment providers (Paymob / PayTabs) to complete transactions.
• Infrastructure, hosting and messaging providers (e.g. cloud hosting, Meta/WhatsApp for messages, FCM/APNs for push notifications).
• Government or judicial authorities where required by a legal obligation.

Data security and retention

We apply technical and organizational safeguards including encryption of sensitive data, access controls and encrypted backups. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We retain data while you use the service and afterwards only as needed for legal and accounting purposes: financial records and invoices are kept under Egyptian law for at least seven years, while personal account data is deleted or anonymized once the account is deleted and legal obligations end.

International data transfers

Your data may be processed and stored on servers outside the Arab Republic of Egypt (for example, data centers within the European Union). We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected wherever it is processed.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for login, session persistence and account security. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

You (or a parent on behalf of a student) have the right to:

• Access your data and obtain a copy of it.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of the account and data (see the “Account & Data Deletion” page).
• Object to certain processing or withdraw your consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes where appropriate.
